HEPA Air Purifiers

HEPA purifiers, also known as high-efficiency particulate absorbing purifiers, are one of the most popular and affordable options on the market. They use a fan to push air through a filter, removing contaminants like dust, pollen, and mold. HEPA filter air purifiers are great for efficient everyday air purification and allergen control. However, they don't remove gasses or odors and you must replace the filter every 6-12 months.  

Carbon Air Purifier 

Unlike HEPA filters, carbon air purifiers tackle odors directly. They can also handle some gases but are not recommended for formaldehyde, ammonia, or nitrogen oxide. Since activated carbon doesn't remove particles, you'll often find air purifiers that use both carbon and HEPA filters to catch a wider array of contaminants.
