Door / Window Weatherstrip

If outside breezes make their way through your doors and windows, it’s time to install window and door weatherstripping. The type of weather stripping you select to seal off the openings can determine both the look of the application and its effectiveness.

One of the easiest types of weather strip to use is foam tape. Foam is pliable enough to quickly form fit to openings and with an adhesive strip on the application side, putting it on your door or window is relatively similar to applying tape. This particular window seal is as effective at keeping the outdoor air out as it is keeping the desired warm or cool air of your house in.

If you notice draft by your entryway floors, installing a new door sweep is an inexpensive quick fix. Securing to the bottom of your door, door sweeps can be made out of nylon bristles or vinyl stripping to seal off any leaks.
