While it’s always wise to keep a complete toolkit handy at home, certain items, like screwdriver sets, traditionally get more use than others. Small appliances, electronic devices and certain pieces of furniture rely on fasteners and screws to hold them together. And when a part is loose, you need to repair something or you need to replace a battery, these sets are extremely useful for tightening or helping you gain access to a variety of trouble spots.

Specialty screwdrivers come in different shapes and sizes too, to address small, stubborn or odd-shaped connections. Nut drivers, for example, are identical in form to a screwdriver, but the tip is shaped like a hexagon to fit over a nut or bolt. When used in combination with a hammer, impact drivers can loosen even the tightest connection, saving you from potential muscle strain.
