Express Delivery is Ace´s same day delivery service to acehardware.com customers, available in select markets at participating stores. You can now find the products you need online and have them delivered to you by a helpful Ace associate the same day for only $5. Express Delivery provides you with convenient same day service; whether to complete a project quickly, allow you to get larger sized items to your home or job site or if you just can't make it to the store today.
Express Delivery is a service available to www.acehardware.com online customers who order products as described below. Eligible orders placed by 1 p.m. local time will attempt to be delivered on the same day. Eligible orders placed after 1 p.m. local time will be delivered on the next day the store is open for business. You must be home to accept delivery.
Here is how Express Delivery works...
- Shop acehardware.com for all your home maintenance needs.
- Only items noted as available for pickup as early as today at participating stores are eligible for Express Delivery.
- When an item is available for Express Delivery at a participating store, you will receive a message box in your Cart or Checkout. Click 'YES' to have the item(s) delivered the same day.
- Once Express Delivery is selected, all items added to your cart for Free Pickup at Ace as early as today will be scheduled for delivery.
- Place your order by 1 p.m. local time.
- Once the item(s) are confirmed available at your neighborhood Ace, you will receive an email confirmation and an Ace associate will deliver your order.
After you complete your Express Delivery order, the receipt page provides you with your order number and information about the order. Keep your order number in a safe place; it will be needed for all order references. You will receive an Order Acknowledgment, Order Confirmation email and a Ready for Delivery email before an Ace associate delivers your order.
Q. How quickly can you deliver?
A. Eligible orders placed by 1 p.m. local time, based on your location, will attempt to be delivered same day. Eligible orders placed after 1 p.m. local time, based on your location, will attempt to be delivered on the next day the store is open for business. Provided you are home and there are no applicable store limitations, orders will be delivered by 7 p.m. local time. Visit the store locator for store hours.
Q. Where does Ace deliver?
A. We will deliver to a destination within 5 miles of the Ace store making the delivery. This includes homes, businesses or job-sites. We are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes, APO, FPO or DPO addresses.
Q. Who will deliver my order?
A. An Ace store associate will deliver your order from your neighborhood Ace store.
Q. Do all Ace stores offer Express Delivery?
A. No. Express Delivery is only available at participating locations.
Q. Is there a delivery charge?
A. Yes. Express Delivery costs $5 per order and is included with your online payment. Assembly is not included in this charge, but you can contact the store directly to inquire about this service.
Q. Are there any limitations to an order?
A. There is no minimum spend required or limitations on size, weight or number of items.
Q. Is signature required upon receipt of my order?
A. Yes. You must be present at the delivery address in order to accept and sign for the delivery. Ace will make one delivery attempt. If you are unable to be present, an alternate person can accept the delivery on your behalf as long as they show the email confirmation to the Ace store associate at the time of delivery. You can also designate an alternate person to receive the order by entering their first and last name during checkout in the Shipping Address fields.
Q. What items are eligible for Express Delivery?
A. Only items designated as available for pickup as early as today are available for Express Delivery.
Q. Can I have some items delivered, some items shipped to store and other items shipped to my home?
A. If you select Express Delivery, all item(s) added to your cart for Free Pickup at your local Ace, available as early as today will be delivered to you via Express Delivery. Item(s) can be delivered to you via UPS by selecting Add To Cart and not choosing Check Availability and selecting a store. If an item shows Ship to Store in 1-7 Days, it is available for free delivery to that Ace location and you will need to pick-up that portion of the order.
If you decide that you want to change the store you originally selected when you placed the item in your cart, don't worry, you can edit your method during the checkout process. However, once the order is placed you will not be able to make changes.
Q. Can I have some items delivered and others for pick-up at the store the same day?
A. No, you can't select Express Delivery and Free Pickup at your local Ace, available as early as today in the same order.
Q. Do I pay online or in store?
A. Your payment is submitted online. Your credit card or Pay Pal account will be charged once you receive your "Ready for Delivery Confirmation" email.
Q. Is same day delivery available every day of the year?
A. Express Delivery is available based on the participating store's days and hours of operation. There is limited availability on certain holidays and high-volume shopping days. There may be instances outside of our control which prevent Express Delivery from being offered.
Q. I was able to choose Express Delivery while shopping, but when I tried to check out, it was no longer an option. Why?
A. The delivery address you entered may not have been within 5 miles of the store you selected.
Q. If I select NO THANKS when given the option for Express Delivery, but change my mind and wish to have my order delivered, what should I do?
A. If you haven't placed your order, first remove all items in your shopping cart and then add the items back in and select YES for Express Delivery when prompted.
Q. Can I check the status of my order?
A. You are unable to check the status of your Express Delivery order online. However, please contact the Ace store you placed the order from for an update. The store contact information can be found on any of the emails you received related to the order.
Q. Who do I contact if I have questions or want to return my purchase?
A. Please contact a Customer Care Specialist at 1-866-290-5334. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you wish to return an Express Delivery order, you may do so by returning it to the store that delivered your item(s). The item must be returned in good condition, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all paperwork, parts and accessories to insure full credit. You must have your receipt. Gas powered Outdoor Equipment cannot be returned once gas or oil has been put in it, even if the Equipment has been drained of these materials.
Delivery charges are not refundable for preference returns, refusing delivery upon arrival or if you are unable to accept the order at time of delivery. For additional information regarding returns, please click here.
Q. What if I need to return an item due to it being defective?
A. Please return the item to the store that made the delivery and make sure to have your receipt.
Q. What if I have to cancel my order after it's already on the way?
A. Unfortunately you are unable to cancel your order if it is already on the way. If you wish to return the item(s) once received, please visit the Ace store that made the delivery. You must have your receipt.
