Dap Rapid Fuse Wood Adhesive was not what i was expecting but I am pleasantly surprised!
I was thinking this would be a typical wood glue that maybe dried a bit faster than normal wood glues. This product is honestly more similar to crazy glue than any wood glue i've ever used.

Only a few drops on the drawer to the spice rack my parents gifted me (and i subsequently dropped) and good as new! I don't have clamps at the ready but some simple masking tape worked perfectly.

I followed the instructions, putting the adhesive only on one side of the surface, being careful not to use too much. I did, however, get it on my fingers although the package advises against this. I see why as i am still picking it off, hand soap, dish soap, nail polish remover, and a scrubby sponge are no match; maybe i should have tried sand paper. But this stuff is tough!! guess thats a good sign!

After an hour or so (i let it sit a little longer than 30 minutes, partly for good measure and partly to finish my dinner) later and you would never know the drawer was ever broken. The bond seems super strong and the drawer is as stury as ever!

Very happy with this product, would recommend to a friend and buy again.

Only drawbacks, as stated earlier if you get it on your skin it will stick (but this is warned against on the package and bottle) and the smell is not particularly pleasant. I guess that is because it is more crazy than wood glue, i saw no recommendation to use it in a well ventilated area so I assume the fumes (little though they are) are not toxic. I would probably recommend to use far from children though.

Overall, very happy!

Great glue and great too have.

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

I started to buy some from a friends recommend so I can stain over it. Then I started building a workbench and glued the top 2x4 together. Because of the quick play tome I had to glue 4 boardsets at a time out of 32 2x4 . I'mean glad too because I'm not that quick at gluing. I glad I bought some on a recommendation and everyone should have some in there shop. I plan on getting more for my shop and I will let all my friends know about it.

You won't be disappointed with this versatile adhesive

By DIY Gal

from Cranston, RI

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

Truthfully, I fully expected this to be mediocre at best. After all, I have experience using all the major brands of adhesive for a countless number of DIY projects. And different jobs require different types of adhesives, right? Wrong. The DAP RapidFuse Wood Adhesive is an all-around adhesive that can be used on much more than just wood. I initially used this product as intended on wood and it worked very well; the bond was tight and secure, and did the job it was supposed to and I was satisfied. But I didn't stop there; I experimented on different materials and was blown away by how versatile it is. I used it on felt, rubber, plastic and stone. This adheres so well, including to your skin, that I highly recommend wearing latex gloves. While that may be a bit inconvenient, that super strong bond gives me confidence in using it in any project I see fit. It is incredibly frustrating to have a poor adhesion, and have to re-apply at a later time. It is unfortunate when that happens, and even worse that it happens on a frequent basis, but it seems that is what the majority of adhesive products are like these days. One time application should be enough, and with DAP RapidFuse Wood Adhesive, that's exactly what you get: a versatile, trustworthy, strong, and reliable adhesive.

I had a piece of a cheap dresser that has always stuck off and used it to fuse the (maybe) wood back together with a clamp. It worked well, fast and is still holding! I have a future mudroom project coming up where I plan to utilize this product more fully.

Wonderful at fixzing broken cabinets

By dandscross

from Federal Way, WA

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

We bought our house 2 years ago. The cabinets looked great but our kids have done a number on them.
Many of the fronts of the drawers were starting to come off. We have tried using regular wood glue to fix them, but they would fall right back off in a week or so. We used the rapid fuse wood adhesive and so far so good. It is really easy to use and so far we have liked the results. My husband is now searching for others things around the house to use it on!

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

I recently bought a new bed and decided to use parts from the paneling of my old bed to make raised planter beds. I used this glue to attach the panels together and it has held up great, even in several days of rain. I will probably go back and secure with nails just to be sure before I fill it with soil, but so far so good. The glue sealed in about 15 minutes and was easy to adjust in the first few minutes.

Amazing!

By MomTo2Toddlers

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

The doors to my kitchen cabinets (the ones that are under the sink) kept falling off of the piece of wood that was suppose to hold them up. I seriously tried every glue I could think of and nothing was working! If the door got closed too hard it'd just fall apart. I've had no problems since using this glue! My 3 yr old can slam the doors all day long and they don't come off! I'm beyond impressed!

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

Needed to fix an expensive wooden sculpture with no way to clamp it. I thought it would work great with its quick set time since I would have to hold it while it set. 30 min later it was still liquid. The only time it set was when I finally got tired of holding it and pulled it apart to wipe it off so I could try something else and of course it set up then. Now it's going to be twice as hard to fix. Thanks dap.

This truly is rapid fuse

By Correen

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

I supplement my income with DIY and trash to treasure projects. This glue has cut my turnover time in half. I can repair and prepare twice the amount of projects I could with standard 24 hour wood glue. I have found that 30 minutes isn't enough time for it fully cure, but after an hour my projects were fully cured and ready to sand with no sticky residue at all.

Worked well!!

By Kathryn

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

I used this product to put a dresser drawer back together. I cleaned the dovetailed joints a little and then dripped a little of the glue into the spaces. I loved how it went together fast and a half hour later I was able to move the drawer. I did let it set overnight before inserting it back into the dresser. Very pleased with the results.

Easy to use

By Dp127

from Tucson, AZ

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

Rapid Fuse Wood glue works to adhere pieces of wood together. It has a three minute period where after you glue you can still reposition it. This can be very helpful when working on a glue/wood project. It dries in approximately 30 minutes and dries clear.

I used this for a few different projects. First, I had some woodworking crafts my kids had made and then played with that had come apart. I used the Rapid Fuse to reglue those parts. It was easy, simple and worked well. It seems to have a strong grip once it dries. I also had a picture frame that had come apart that I wanted to get back together but was worried about more nails and the splitting of the wood. This Rapid Fuse worked fine and so far the picture frame wood parts seem to be held together fine. These are small projects so I cannot vouch for the ability of this glue to work well in larger projects. But what I did see is that this is a quality product. It has strength, it dries clear and adheres well, just like the product claims. I also like being able to reposition during the first part of the application. I got some glue on my fingers but it easily cleaned off with soap and water.

This appears to me to be a quality product. I did receive a sample free from the company for the purpose of my review, but all opinions remain my own.

A Good Wood Adhesive

By la121

from United States

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

The RapidFuse Wood Adhesive is a good product if you need to attach two pieces of wood or just need something that works on wood. It sticks well and attaches well. The glue pours out of the bottle easily and spreads well. I was happy with the results, but I thought the adhesive smelled too strong. It would be nice if they made one that was odor free. In general, this is a good product for wood projects in your home.

Comments about DAP RapidFuse .85oz Wood Glue (00156):

I do a lot of minor repairs around the house that require the use of wood glue. Quite often the glue does not form a strong enough bond, and the item I want to repair falls apart again after just weeks or months of use. This is especially true with wood furniture like chairs which are subjected to repeated use. I needed a glue that would form a stronger bond. After some research I came across the "Rapid Ruse Fast Curing Wood Adhesive." I was impressed with all of the product claims, so I decided to order a bottle for myself.

What I appreciate about this wood adhesive is that it is repositionable for up to three minutes. When I am gluing an item together, I tend to make a few mistakes before getting it into the proper position. With Rapid Fuse, I have the ability to correct my errors without destroying the bond. This was definitely a huge selling point for me!

In addition to being useful for wood projects, this adhesive also works on glass, stone, particle board, ABS, melamine, and much more, so it is a multifunctional glue. It can be used indoors or outdoors, and the glue dries nice and clear. The entire curing process takes only 30 minutes, so I can repair an item and use it the very same day!

I found Rapid Fuse to be very simple to apply. First, I clean the surface I want to apply the adhesive on. Then I place just a thin coat of the adhesive onto the surface. Using too much does not seem to improve the bond. If there is any excess glue around, I wipe it away while it is still wet. Finally, I apply pressure for about five to thirty minutes, usually with a clamp, and once I remove the pressure, the bond is super strong! In fact the glue is stronger than many woods are, including cherry and pine. I am very happy with this glue. It works fast and it is stronger than many similarly priced products on the market. I really have no complaints about it!
