We've had this stand for more than 10 years and have never had a problem setting up a tree or worrying that it may take a fall. We recommend it to everyone who asks. The only thing that has "broken" is the small plastic pieces at the end of the bolts that secure the tree. We've not noticed and left a few stuck in the trees - but this has not changed the performance of the stand.

It works great with trees that arent very full & under 9ft. We used it for 2 years for an 8 ft and 9ft. Both trees were pretty full and it worked ok. Last year used it for the 10ft tree that was pretty full & it cracked it in several places & we ended up having to lean the tree slightly against the wall. Will be buying a different kind this year.

We have used this tree stand for 15 years on trees from up to 10 feet. The tree is up and straight within 5 minutes. It's a wonderful, easy to use, invention.

This is the greatest invention ever! For the second year in a row, I didn't have any trouble getting the tree set up. I went from top of the car to middle of the livingroom in less than 30 minutes. Thanks to this product, I'm willing to have live Christmas trees again!

We have used this stand for years and it has done really well with trees under 8 ft. tall. It was very stable and easy to use regardless of the width of the tree. However this year we bought a 10 ft tree and the tree fell on me three times while trying to hang lights/put on ornaments. It was very tipsy and hard to adjust. IT IS NOT SAFE for larger trees. We will buy a different stand for this size tree. DO NOT RISK IT-trust me it, it's not worth it.

We used to argue every Christmas as we set up the tree--was it straight enough, was it going to fall over, could we turn it again, etc. Not a problem any more. With this stand it is so easy to put up, twist or turn, that it is almost fun. Everyone is happy. Great to find a product that is so well engineered.

I have had one of these stands for 10 yrs; best stand ever!!! I had arrived home one day and found our tree had fallen over. Last year the stand broke. Went to buy one this year at the same store ([...] and they only had a plastic version. We put a 9ft tree in it...okay for a couple of days, but once I started hanging ornaments, the tree started leaning, then started to fall over. Luckily there were two guys nearby to catch it, and we were able to secure it. I do not trust this stand, and hope it will make it through this season. In the meantime, I plan to buy another of these stands. Our old one was metal. This one at Ace is polymer...not sure what that is and do wonder if the material is the same as what we had for 10 yrs.

I've had my stand for over ten years and it makes putting up the tree a snap! Never tips over and one person can put up the tree and adjust it. We were getting ready to put our tree up and our stand just broke because of something silly we did. I am praying that the local Ace Hardware will have one in stock tomorrow so we won't have to order one! Buy one....you won't regret it!

Hey, ACE! Get this tree-stand back in stock! We've had one of these stands for 15-years. It just broke, and we won't be getting a tree without one of these stands. Once you figure out the locking mechanism, this is the best tree stand ever! No more leaning, tipping, or tottering. The tree goes up straight and sturdy the first time.
