I bought two when these went on sale. Love the look! I split a couple of boards when using the electric drill but fortunately they were on the bottom of the chair. Assembly was easy and love that they are foldable.

Purchased this a couple of years ago and assembled myself. It's worth the time it takes to do it correctly. I used a primer and exterior paint and it has held up to the elements. Super comfortable design. We use a seat cushion and back cushion which makes it even better. Very sturdy. To have this chair at this price is a real bargain.

Wasn't crazy about this chair after put together. Seat was not wide enough for bigger adults. Trying to get out of it was hard when the screws weren't in deep enough to hold on the arms, that needs to be fixed, should come with longer screws or something. I glued mine on so now it's stronger.

I'm quite happy with this chair (bought two of them). I find them comfortable and attractive, with little prep work they have taken a urethane finish very well and should last well with little up keep. For the price I think these are great, I've seen similar chairs in the $300 range, they could be sturdier but once set down they fine. That they fold is handy but not required.

Easy as pie to assemble nad was darn sturdy when finished. total time: 30 mins. I weather proofed it before assemble, which i highly recommend for doing a thorugh job. It's on teh lawn by the firepit, just in time for summer nights. Great price. I WILL buy another, this one was the test.

The chairs are great quality. Since they aren't treated, painting or stain+sealing will be necessary to weather the elements.
Very comfortable and they fold up quiet nicely. Several friends have already purchased after seeing mine.

Good design and if you are lucky all the pieces will be good. I ordered a few chairs and some of the wood pieces were broken. So I sent some of the chairs back for replacements. The wood can be quite soft. A little skill in wood working will help you assemble it correctly. If you want a decent cheap wood patio chair and have some time to assemble and paint, then this will probably work for you.

Chairs are great! They look wonderful and are perfect for us to use around our firepit. They fold and store easily. These chairs require full assembly. To make it easier, use a power drill, which cuts down the assembly time significantly. They also need to be weatherized, which I plan to do. If you are willing to do a little work to get these chairs ready for use, they are well worth the value, especially when you compare the price to other fully assembled chairs.

Bought two chairs. The back cross beam of one is broken (hope to get replacement from ACE, will report back). The chair is not as large as other Adirondack chair for adult. Straight forward to assemble but still took time. The pre-drill holes were not always perfect, especially for the back. The wood is pine, not weather proof (in the manual, it says it is highly recommended to treat the chair with a weatherproof coating). The website is somewhat misleading regarding weather proofing. It is not a chair to lie down but the support to the lower part of your back is very good.

STAIN BEFORE YOU ASSEMBLE. Take your time putting pieces together & follow instructions, they will fit without breaking or splitting(I put 4 together with no problems). Takes about 25-30 mins to assemble each. Good deal for the price. I would highly recommend staining pieces before you put them together.

I have purchased over 15 of these over the past 2 years, and was very satisfied with last year's products, but this year the quality was lowered and the price increased. The wood is very knotty and splits easily, and the chairs no longer have adjustable backs. I had difficulty getting them to stay stable AND still be able to be folded. They needed to be sanded after the first coast of spray paint because the wood grain raised and they became rough. I used to hand paint them before painting designs on them, but am very happy with the 'Ace' brand paint and prefer it over Rustoleum.
Would love to see the old design again with the stronger wood.

I bought one of these chairs last year, stained it and put on three coats of polyurethane and it looks great. My neighbors ask if we can do one for them. So I bought another one this year to replace my stationary chair. They are so comfortable and have a lumbar support and are adjustable too. It suits every need I have to relax. We found them easy to stain and easy to assemble and the price was remarkable. Good Sitting !

These chairs are AWESOME! They took stain great and look fantastic on our deck. We bought two to start with, and once we got on a roll with assembly, we went back and got four more! I do recommend staining the pieces before you put them together. Otherwise, it is difficult to get full coverage. I like the person who said you need a ph D to assemble them! Guess I'm smarter than I thought!!!

We wanted adirondack chairs to go with our fire pit for our yard. These were attractively priced and were said to have the option to adjust and fold. We followed the guidelines of other customers to stain and weather proof them. The first of the four chairs had the wrong parts and wrong directions for the adjustment setting. Trying to find the part to adjust was difficult in itself. The Ace we bought the chairs at were very unhelpful. Another Ace were kind enough to find and get us the parts for the remainder chairs. Once we started to assemble the rest we found that there was no area near the arm of the chair for the adjustment bracket to go into. We sawed the slits and then came to find out that they had completely redesigned the arm of the chair so that the brackets wouldn't fit anyway. Now 3 of our 4 chairs are non-adjustable, unfoldable and sit upright too much. This was miserable and sadly I based my reasons to buy these chairs because of the overall good reviews I read.

If you enjoy small projects these chairs are a good buy. Assembly time was not long and instructions were straight forward. The chairs fold very easily making it convenient to transport. I chose to stain the chairs and the outcome was better than I expected. The wood absorbed the stain very well. I've only had them out on my porch a couple of weeks but the stain seems to protect from outdoor conditions.

I was impressed with these chairs, especially for the money. The assembly was quite involved, but I enjoy doing projects like this, so it wasn't really that bad. The chairs are comfortable and really met our needs. I like the fact that they fold for easy storage. My only complaint is that the pins needed to hold the chairs upright are not attached in a way, that when they are not being used, they will likley get misplaced. Perhaps they could have some type of chain attachment. I'm working on my own solution to this. Highly reccomend!!
