I have owned and used two Eden Pures in my home for better than 5 years with nothing but major savings on my heating oil bills!! I can't say enough about these amazing products - the unit is quiet, energy efficient, safe for my kids and cats to be around. I have one on each level of my house and I'm more than comfortable all heating season long. The heat they emit is a soft heat and not drying to my skin. I swear by them so much that I purchased one each for both of my daughter's apartments and for my parents home for Christmas. They are all still going strong after all this time!

This is a very nice space heater. It does its job while being quiet and safe - cool to the touch, the packaging even shows a cat laying on top of the heater. You can keep it on high heat or set it to cycle on and off. I suppose the only downside is that its very pricey, but I think this is a case of "You get what you pay for."
You should be aware that almost all conventional space heaters are manufactured to provide sufficient heat for a 150 sq ft room (10' x 15'), so don't expect this to keep your 40' by 20' unheated basement completely toasty. Also, it won't actually save you money unless you also turn down your thermostat to the rest of the house. This is not to knock the EdenPure heater, its just a basic fact of electric space heaters.
