I bought this more for decorative purposes in my living. room. I don't use it for heat, but I did try it to make sure it was working. It was. I had terrible luck with the delivery aspects of two previous stoves......had to return them because they had not been packed correctly. I bought from Ace because I could pick it up directly from the store. It was a good choice for me. I would highly recommend this product, particularly if you can pick it up yourself. The guy at Ace was very helpful. He unwrapped it and checked it out for me.

I purchased this item for living room. It is a beautiful piece and worked well until one year after purchasing. Was hardly used and the blower went out. I have been on the phone for one hour holding to speak with technical at Dimplex as the store will not take it back.

I purchased mine Nov. 2011 for a small cabin. It's gotten a lot of use the past year. Stove itself is a charcoal black rather than pitch black. I love the color. Love the remote, and the fact it has a thermostat. Lightweight enough to move easily. Sometimes there is a weird rattling noise. This happens whether or not the heater fan is on. It comes and goes, and I can usually quiet it myself by unplugging and then plugging back in (electrical interference?) The logs are beautiful, and the fire is most realistic when the room is not well lit. If you are planning on facing it to a window or strong lighted area, the glass is tinted a bit and reflects the light so that the logs are then hard to see. I actually like it and the Dimplex standard insert so much that I bought last year I'm planning on trying one of the LED Dimplex fireplace this year for my bedroom. Dimplex makes a great product!

I purchased this electric stove for a small garden house. (I have not had it long enough to comment on durability or heating efficiency in varied circumstances.) It is beautiful - quality design and "housing", wonderfully realistic flame and embers - super ambiance! I like the quick heat, the quiet fan that resembles the rush of a fire, and the handy remote control. There are three easily understood and accessible controls on the upper right-hand corner of the back: a switch for heat, on or off; a thermostat knob(turn to maximum at start until desired heat is reached - then turn down, until a click is heard, to maintain that heat); a swith for a choice of manual or remote control. There is nothing that is not great about this stove!

I love my new Dimplex fireplace. It is attractive and gives a nice amount of heat. It was easy to carry to my room, and all I had to do was plug it in. I ordered it online and at first was fearful, but I was pleasantly surprised. GREAT PURCHASE!
