This hummingbird feeder is glass, comes apart easily for thorough cleaning, is safe for the birds, and holds a lot for when the hummers are in their peek feeding season. I had to glue the the very top piece on as it fell off. It's supposed to screw on but it was as if the threads were stripped. I used a heavy duty glue around the threads and everything is fine. That's the only reason I gave this 4 stars. I need large feeders as I can have over 20 hummers feeding at a time and they can finish one of these off in less than a day. I make my own food with 4-1/water-sugar and NO coloring. I have another feeder by this company and had an artist friend of mine paint a beautiful design on the outside glass. The birds seem to love these too.
