I bought this paint because the idea of it going on the ceiling in a blue tint and turning white sounded good. A packet of blue tint powder that you're supposed to mix into the paint before application came with each gallon. The idea is that it goes on blue so you can catch any areas you've missed. After two coats, my ceiling ended up splotchy, something that's never happened with any other ceiling paint I've ever used. The blue color is also very faint, and not much of a help. I used an electric drill with a paint mixer, so the powder was mixed in well, I had primed the ceiling first, and it still didn't cover evenly after two coats. I now need to apply two coats of some other paint, which will total five coats of paint in all. I wouldn't buy it again. It is guaranteed so I could return it for a refund, but what about my labor?

This paint goes on well and provides one coat coverage, the blue tint made it easy to see where I had worked. The problem was that I was trying to simply to patch up the paint where drywall repair had been done. I applied it and could clearly see the old versus the new paint 22 hours later, so went back to the store and made them exchange my paint for a gallon without the blue indicator tint, thinking that the indicator tint was causing my problem. I applied the new paint without the indicator color and again could clearly see where I stopped - the paint actually dries to a very pale gray as opposed to a true white (which the rest of the ceiling is).

This ceiling paint covers really good. A light blue when
applied, you can tell where your going, & where you've been.
However, the smell of strong paint will last a week. We had the ceiling fan on the whole time with the windows open & it had little effect on the smell.
