I bought 2 of these kits this spring and made it twice as high and only 4ftx2ft (7 inches wasn't going to be deep enough after weed fabric and a layer of pea gravel for what I had picked out). This kit was easy to modify and went up quickly. A few of the boards were warped, but if you turn them so they bow into the box once you fill it with dirt and straight the boards out there's no gaps or anything. The only problem is that the groves in the corner posts don't line up from one post to the next, so attaching an extra box will be difficult, but for the price it's a manageable problem. I'm going to get another kit this weekend to use up my left over boards and add on to it. It is a cheap kit, and the quality I'd expect for the price.

I have now bought 3 of these packages. No warped boards. The backagimg was strapped very tight, to avoid warping. All pieces fit together easily. No liner needed. Even if boards got warped (probably from taking out of box and letting sit unassmebled, I don't see why you would ever need a liner. Yes, there are other products on the market - for about 3 times as much and only slightly more sturdy. Great product and price.

I rarely ever write reviews but since purchasing this product, I've found better quality products available both online and in other stores.The kit is very easy to put together BUT some of the boards were warped so doesn't fit evenly. As a result, it'll have to be completely lined in order to use. (Another added cost). If you're actually purchasing this for "square foot gardening" this is not a good choice.
