I have had my ace lopper for a few years. Just recently used it and bent the blade and a chip broke off. Have tried to get a replacemnet blade but they have discontinued it. I don't know how a company as big as Ace could allow a product to be discontinued when they are advertising it for sale and have apparently sold so many. Very disappointed in Ace!!!!

A friend had a pair of these that he used around his motorhome when he was entering a camping site to clear out vegetation that would scrape the camper. I bought a pair to use with our motorhome and love them. I am buying another pair to carry in my Jeep to clear trails. They are great.

My sister gave me the Ace telescopic bypass lopping shears several years ago and I used them occasionally. This year lost several trees to storms and my brother came up to help me and he used them and could not stop raving about how much he liked them. Several more storms and I used them for cutting off branches so my neighbors could cut the limbs easier. Am buying a pair for my brother for Christmas

It has a great design for actually cutting though the branch quicky with less effort than you might imagine. After using several other makes and designs over the last 15 years, I prefer this one. The adjustable long handles give that extra leverage you need and the design of the hinge does the job. It is not flimsy. I will use this two hours a day and it keeps right on cutting. Great price for a great tool. Downside? After two+ years of regular use I actually broke the handle twisting it too much. My fault. Should be an easy repair but no handles are available, just blades.
