Bought this last week and installed it on Sunday afternoon, which took about an hour. I looked at the Lux Products website and watched the install video, even though I read and followed the directions. To program, all I did was watch the programming video, so it was rather simple and not that complex.
Last winter, our manual thermostat just seemed to be off about 10 degrees and we had to set the temp when we got home and wait until we got home to heat the home up. I programmed the weekdays for 73 at 4:30, 68 at 8:00, 73 at 3:30, and 68 at 10:30, so our home is warm as we get ready and go off to work, warm when we return, and cooler when we are sleeping.
I like the digital thermostat over the old manual as the temperature settings are so much more precise.
Very good price and does what we need. I recommend this product.

GOT THERMOSTAT IN JAN 2010, WORKED FOR 4 TO 6 MOS CALLED [...] THEY SAID -DEFECTIVE RETURN TO ACE. TOOK ITEM TO ACE IN ROCKVILLE CENTRE N.Y. WITH RECEIPT. THEY SAID ONLY WARRANTY FOR THIRETY DAYS. IT HAS A 3 YEAR WARRANTY AND THERE ACE BOOKLET SAYS TO BRING IT BACK WITH RECEIPT TO PLACE OF PURCHASE. THEY WOULDEN'T HELP. GO TO [...] THEY WILL HONER WARRANTYS

The product was flexible and easy to use. The faceplate came off as I was reaching for the unit (comes off rather easily, no "snap" securing it). There is one transistor that's held on by a hair sized wire that easily broke. I believe the product could be better made.
