I wanted a sturdy can crusher that would crush both 12 and 16 oz. aluminum cans. This fit the bill. I haven't had it long enough to say it will last a long time, but the construction seems to be very sturdy, not flimsy at all.

Crusher is so easy to use and after many uses is just as reliable as when it was new. I would recommend oiling the moving parts with a little WD 40 occasionally. Great well made product.

I like this can crusher because it will crush
different size cans. Our other can crusher would only crush 8 ounce cans. It is heavy before you hang, but very easy to use when hung.

We put this outside in our car port right next to the recycling cans. The crusher is really heavy duty and works quite well. The only problem we had was that the part that attaches the crusher mechanism to the handle is welded and the weld did not hold. (Design flaw?) I fixed it by drilling two holes and inserting screws and bolts. I didn't want to go through the hassle to return it. Now it won't ever break again.

This crusher saves a great deal of space in collecting soda cans for recycling. It's much more sturdy than the first one I purchased. I pat myself on the back for buying this very useful product.

We reviewed all the crushers online, this one had the best reviews. After installation I started to crush some cans, I noticed the plunger slide not centered in the sides of unit where it moves up & down and after only 1/2 a 5gal bucket of crushing the handle slipped out of its holes. We will have to finish the construction of this unit ourselves by properly bending the unit to conceal the plunger slide. As for the handle, its back to ACE for a 7/16 bolt & lock nut to have a fail-safe handle attached to this thing...

Purchased my first "crusher" back in the 70's when I was a youngster living at home. When I got my own home in the 80's I bought another one. Well..... after almost 30 years of lots of crushing of aluminum cans it finally gave out. I can't even fathom the number of cans over all these years that my "crusher" has crushed. Was so happy to see that they still make them and people still use them.

This is a great device to reduce the contents of your recycle bin. It crushes both popular sizes of aluminum cans. It is very durable and not flimsy in any way. My previous one lasted 15 years and is almost a clone of this new one. The only drawback is access to the screws when originally mounting to the wall. The lever and handle are in the way.

This thing is awesome. I've even cheated, crushing two cans on top of one another. Just make sure you mount it to something solid (e.g. stud or support structure).

We had 3 bins of cans and other recyclables. After crushing all of the cans (which didn't take long) one bin was emptied! We put the crusher in our kitchen at about eye level which works best for us. No more excuses for leaving empty cans sitting around! Just be sure it is mounted in a stud; otherwise, it will pull loose.

When after years of service, when the pivots wore out, I just put a bolt through the holes and have been using it for another 10 years. Did a quessamate based on amount paid/weight for the recycled cans. And estimated that we have crushed over 200,000 cans and still going strong.

This item is used several times a day at our house. We keep it on the back porch mounted right over a 13 gal trash can. If you hold onto the can as you start to bring down the handle it will prevent the can from popping out before it is finished. Safety area at bottom prevents fingers from ever getting pinched. Recycling has never been easier or more rewarding. We spent weeks researching and reading reviews on all the models out there but this was was really given the highest praise for reliability. Solid metal crusher makes so much more sense than the plastic ones. I expect this model will outlive the porch itself!

I have crushed at least 5000 cans and it shows no wear. The last one I had crushed at least 20,000 cans over 10 years.

This is a strong, reliable product. The website claims it crushes all size cans which is untrue. It won't crush cans larger than 16oz.

Just bought this and glad I read all the reviews and picked this one. Well thought out and crushes down to one inch. This is important because to crush it any thinner would not give much benefit in the space saving department and keeps the residual can contents from leaking out every time you use it. Mounting is easy with a stud finder and a cordless drill.
