Comments about In-Sink-Erator ® Hot Water Dispenser (HOT-1):
I agree with the MN girl that it is the cheapest. I don't agree that it takes that long to heat up though. About 15 minutes tops is more accurate. Then again, in MN things do take longer to heat up. You do hear it heat occasionaly through the day and it yields about 4 cups at one draw. You must be mildy handy with the plumbing to install, but it's really straightforward. We've had it about 5 years, that seems to be the life expentancy. I'm replacing it with the same model. During the last year or so is the only time I've experienced the "water spitting" as the elements have presumably begun to erode. The valve does require constant pressure to operate though it's a simple valve, the more you push down, the greater the flow. There is no "relief" valve per se so the building pressure from heat expansion does occasionaly cause some leakage at the spout, simply relieve the pressure buy using it for a moment if it bothers you. Short story long, good value for the money, you want nicer?--Pay more.

Comments about In-Sink-Erator ® Hot Water Dispenser (HOT-1):
This is the cheapest hot water dispenser they make. Spend another $100 and you'll be happier.
I had this one for 4 years. It doesn't keep hot water available consistently. If you don't use it for a day or two, it has to reheat the water & that takes hours.
It spits water all over the sink when it's heating.
You have to hold the handle down all the time you're filling a container, and it has a very slow flow.
I'm buying the top of the line next time!
