I bought my Butts Outdoor Clothes dryer 10 years ago it has been a great! Clothes and sheets stay smelling fresh for a long time! The UV light from the sun kills all the bacteria in the clothes and our clothes last a lot longer by not being beat to pieces in the tumble dryer! Our electric bill has also been cut in half by not running our power hungry electric clothes dryer. I would highly recommend this outdoor clothes dryer! Sooner you get one the better!

I bought this washline at the store and was initially pleased. The pole, once together, would not come apart so it was very cumbersome to take down and put up because it was very long. But I could deal with that. After 2 weeks of fairly light use, the one plastic "pin" broke so that the arm was not held firm. I took it back to the store and they replaced that piece with a steel cotter pin. Took the washline home and the next time I went to use it, the other side had done the same thing. I took it back and got a refund.

It replaces a competitor's upside-down pyramid type that had broked apart before its time. We have one like this at our permanent home, and it has served us very well. It would be nice if the lines were a little thicker.

Had SO much trouble finding one of these and this was the only one online that listed the diameter of the pole. Finally I got my parallel line dryer and it rains! LOL....I love it. Been wanting one for ages! Doesn't exactly fit into the 1.5" hole we had already, but hubby made it fit by shimming.

I hang most of my close to dry and then soften in dryer anyway so this just speeds up the drying and the sun helps to make the whites brighter.

I've bought three of these for my children and they love it. I first bought one because my dryer broke and I had to save for a new one. I'm buying one for myself again as I've moved. The lady that bought the house begged me to leave it. I love when the breeze spins the line with the clean clothes...flying in the breeze.I look for things to line dry now!

The original dryer has worked well and has the design that I like. The problem is that some of the fasteners, after use and wear, enlarge the hole they are in and fall out causing the dryer to collapse. A simple screw and nut design would solve the problem

I previously had the same brand of cloths dryer. It gave 20 years of good service. Then the plastic joints broke. I replaced that one with this one. It fitted exactly in the same ground pipe reducing my installation and wait time by hours. If the plastic joints are replaced by metal, I would really appreciate it. In hot Arizona sun, plastic degrades.

The arms on this "dryer" are to weak to support wet clothes especially heavier ones so they bend at the flexible joint where the line folds for storage. Once bent you must either fix the bent area in some way or buy a new one.

I just bought another of these outdoor clothers dryers from the local Ace, having bought the first one there about 9 years ago. That first one has been in constant use (except during the winter) during that time; I'd say I got my money's worth. If I'd taken better care of it, it would still be in service; it was out and not collapsed when a heavy snow of last winter brought it down.

Arms broke on the first use part way through hanging the laundry. Completely collapsed with less than one load of laundry. Completely useless for the purpose it is designed for. Total waste of money. Absolutely would not recommend this at all ever.

We had one of their similar lines before from a couple years ago. It held up well but my wife overloaded it one day and it broke. We replaced it with this one and it broke within about 2 months. It was not overloaded this time. Good design EXCEPT for the flimsy hinges that hold the folding parts together. I understand why people who owned them for 10 years give it 5 stars but they screwed up with at least this model.

The aluminum pieces that support the bars bend too easily to keep the poles with the lines up. I received a replacement unit after I had the original one in use for less that three weeks. The replacement unit died after two weeks of use. Major design flaw that needs to be addressed.

We have had our clothes line for 15 years. My clothes smell clean, they don't shrink (which happens sometimes in the electric dryer). One summer I saved $120 buy using my line dryer. I don't count the savings any more I just use my line a lot. Great for hanging wet towels and swim suits on when the kids get out of the pool. This summer our pole broke and I will buy another line if my husband can't fix it.

I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PRODUCT. I PUT MINE UP ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS AND WHEN I WENT TO PUT IT IN THE DRYING POSITION, A PART SNAPPED OFF THAT HOLDS THE LINE UP AND I AM NOT ABLE TO USE IT AT ALL!! I AM HOPING WHEN I BRING IT BACK TO THE STORE, THEY WILL EXCHANGE IT FOR ANOTHER ONE AS I AM WILLING TO TRY IT AGAIN!! THE LAST ONE I HAD WAS PASSED DOWN TO ME FROM MY 87 YEAR OLD MOTHER WHO HAD HAD IT SINCE 1989. I WOULD SAY THAT IS A GOOD TRACK RECORD AND THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I AM WILLING TO TRY AGAIN.
