Comments about Master Mark Master Gardener® Contractor Landscape Edging:
I purchased the deep edge version of this product, which is 6 inches deep, about 8 years ago and installed it edging a walkway around my veggie garden. I happen to have an extra roll, which sat outside all that time. Not only did the edging keep the grass from growing over into the walkway, but the extra roll was still as good as the day I bought it.
I ended up finally using that 8 year old roll to create a tree ring in the front yard. It looks great. I used the edging to butt up against the grass and on the inside used shaped large river rock carefully chosen to keep the edging in place. The river rock also acts as the base to a short rock retaining wall.
The only drawback is the installation, because you have to dig, dig, dig really deep to install this monster. But, once you do, you also know its going to work. So, if you are going to do it, do it right the first time, and you will be pleased with the lasting results.

I'm confused. If the edging is designed to keep grass, etc from spreading from one area to another, why does the edging come with holes in it?

Comments about Master Mark Master Gardener® Contractor Landscape Edging:
MOST LANDSCAPE EDGING IS 4" HIGH. THIS PRODUCT IS 6" HIGH. I USED IT AROUND A TREE WITH A DESCENDING GRADE, AND IT MADE A GREAT BORDER TO RETAIN MULCH AND CREATE A NICE LEVEL EFFECT
