Had an Orion toilet with a 1989 cast date in a small downstairs bathroom that apparently developed a small crack in the tank. I assumed that I would be replacing the entire unit with a new toilet, but could only find suitable replacements at the big box stores in the $200 range. A Google search on "Orion Toilets" led me to the Ace Hardware site. I decided to take a chance and have one shipped to my local store. It arrived two days later.
Apparently, Orion only makes one model of toilet and only changes the model name. The instructions listed the tank as being compatible with about a dozen different models. Although the lid arrived broken in the box, the tank was a spot-on replacement and included all of the "guts" that I assumed that I would need to buy in addition to the tank (i.e. - the fill tube, the ballcock, etc.)
The mounting holes were exactly matched to the bowl and the installation took about 15 minutes. My old lid fit perfectly, so the broken "new" lid was discarded along with the old cracked tank. I had one small leak beneath the fill valve, but all that was requiured was to snug up the retaining nut from below.
All in all a "five star" purchase that saved me at least $160 and the headache of replacing an entire toilet. Excellent cutomer service and lightning fast shipping. I'll definitely order from ACE again!
