I have about 400 feet of this hose that has been outdoors for about 25 years and it is still flexible and useful and coils easily. Will it kink - yes in the winter when I wash my car but NEVER in the rest of the year. It has a lifetime warranty. Show me any other garden hose that is that good!!!

Gilmour has started installing an O-ring instead of a hose washer in the female end of the hose. These leak like crazy. A great hose with a leaking gasket. Very sad.

I bought this hose a year ago and have been using it weekly since. It's heavy-duty, coils up very easily, never kinks likely cheaply-made hoses, and has held up beautifully. I keep it on my sidewalk, which gets full afternoon sun, and the finish is still new-looking and not at all dull. I use it constantly and prefer it over my older, less expensive hoses. I've had hoses for 20 years at a time, and I fully expect this hose to last at least at least that long. I plan on purchasing another soon. I would highly recommend this hose!

I bought one of these hoses when I purchased my home. I tried to save $ and bought another "kink free" hose from the big orange box [@]) and it was a total piece of junk. After using both of them for two weeks it was clear that the Flexogen hose from Ace was FAR SUPERIOR to a similar hose from [@]. Not only does the hose not kink, it seals very well, and has no leaks at all. The hose I bought at [@] was about $8 cheaper, but was a total waste of money. It leaked and kinked like crazy! It also would get balled up around itself when you tried to pull it out to the full length. Do yourself a favor and get the Flexagen hose. I now have two of them and couldn't be happier with my purchases.

Hose came right out of packaging with no kinks. I have had it a month and with daily use have had no problems. Good quality material and strong coupling. Would recommend this hose to anyone needing a dependable hose for daily use.

I bought a 5/8" x 100' flexogen hose and it works well and it does kink but very easy to unkink. This length of hose didn't reach all the way where I needed to water so I bought a 5/8" x 50' flexogen hose and I've connected them with no leaks and I'm happy with my purchase. One of the BEST hoses I've ever bought and should have bought them instead of buying the cheaper ones. Well worth the little bit of extra money.

We live on a rural one-acre parcel outside of Vancouver BC. Canada. We have owned 4 of these hoses since 1979 and use them in different length combinations to water decorative plants in the front yard to fruit trees out the back. Once I returned a hose coupling off a 75 foot hose to the manufacturer because it had become dented and therefore leaked. They returned me a new 100-foot hose within about 6 weeks, no charge. We also leave them on the hose reel outside all winter, and have done since 1979. Absolutely fantastic product, well worth searching for.

I used to buy cheap water hoses, all of which typically lasted maybe 2 years, 3 if I was lucky, due to bursting. I actually bought 2 origional Glimour branded (not Ace) Flexogen 50' hoses, and it has been 4 years and counting, and they still look close to new. I think the ones posting about kinking issues are also confused with a cheaper brand of hose if the Ace Flexogen is of the same material as the true Glimour is. Spend the extra 10 bucks on the better hose rather than replacing a cheap one a couple of years down the road.

I bought this hose to fill the water tanks in our horse barn. I spend more time removing links than filling tanks. And when it kinks it turns the skin white and after two or three kinks at one side the outer skin splits. Way too much money to spend on a hose [...]

Hooked this up today to replace a hose that constantly kinks.
No kinks at all with this flexogen. It's a heavy, quality hose. Because it's so heavy, it requires a little more effort to wind up on a hose reel.

I suspect the reviewer who complained of kinks did not have the 5/8ths inch Ace Flexogen hose. My 75-footer is seven months old now and I am still amazed at how easy it is to use. I easily maneuver at least 35-feet of it back and forth around plants, pots, rocks and furniture without it ever kinking. And it's remarkably flexible and lightweight. Have always purchased good hoses, but they don't compare with this one.
