Great for small lawns and a person that likes a little workout with there lawn care. Cheaper than going to the gym. Cut the lawn great had to do multipliable passes the first time I used it.(long grass) Handle could be a little more sturdy.

Easy to assemble. Easy to use. Remember to clean grass out of blades regularly. Its a good Idea to use WD40 on it regularly, I have been doing it after every use. Great for small lawns, best when grass is not too long.

I bought my reel mower because both of my other mowers were in the shop. I am on an acre lot and normally use my rider mower to cut it. I am 54 years old and dont usually seem to either find the time or muster up the motivation to exercise. Cutting my grass with my reel mower is a way to kill two birds with one stone. My lawn is now more beautiful than ever and I've lost 15 pounds so far this summer. This mower just glides thru my grass, is quiet so i can cut early morning or late night, and i feel invigorated afterwards! I will admit that i mow sections at a time because of the intense cardio workout, but i take a few fifteen minute breaks and am finished mowing in just a few hours. On top of everything, I am saving money on engine oil and gasoline and protecting the environment. I see no cons whatsoever with using this mower to cut my grass and am so glad that I rediscovered that they are still available.

I was tired of struggling every year with my power mower. I have ulnar tunnel, and have a very hard time with pull-start engines, especially after being stored for winter. By the time I get to actual mowing, it's a struggle to push the power mower over the uneven yard. I went to Ace to look at reel mowers, and was home mowing in the time it usually takes me to get the power mower out and filled. "MADE in USA" and "on sale", who could resist? (They had me at MADE in USA!) I initially didn't know if the one I had looked at online was the same mower I bought. I was afraid of the handle issue others had noted. I have problems with my power mower handle being loose due to the constant tipping necessary to get it over uneven ground and my being too short for the handle. I don't have that problem with this mower as it moved quite smoothly over the lawn and is better suited to my height. I used it at my mom's to get under trees, on slopes, and other places her riding mower can't cut. Taller blue grass does require several passes but I don't foresee that being a problem with regular cutting."Problems" 1. My neighbor must have felt sorry for me as she had never spoken to me before but asked if I'd like her to do the portion outside my fence because SHE has a "power mower". 2. The dog isn't scared so I kept having to shoo her out of my way.Next time I go to Ace, I'm checking to see if they have the bag in stock.

We just bought a house that had previously been occupied by renters and needless to say, they did not take care of or pride in the lawn at all because it was not theirs. The grass was very tall and there were quite a few weeds. This mower cut through them no problem. Just keep some WD-40 on hand to put on it after each use and you'll have no problems with the blades not turning or rusting. Our lawn is now one of the best looking lawns on the block. Our new neighbors even commented about how nice it looked and that they are glad someone is finally living there that actually takes care of the yard.

Good lawn mower. Cuts grass well over normal lawn that is not graded flat. After constant use for the summer, handle bars shear off at the bolts when reel gets clogged by a twig. Need to keep spare handle bars on had to replace broken ones. Like all reel movers, will not cut when grass gets too high.

I use this to mow a standard size suburban backyard, and smaller grassy area near the front curb. I am over 60 and find that this mower takes hardly any effort to push, and I enjoy the extra exercise I get walking around with it. I bought it for environmental reasons, and find that it is actually a time-saver too. No going to the store for gas, no fussing trying to start a motor, easy clean up, and of course IT CUTS THE GRASS. One problem: the little e-clips that holds the handle in place near the reel will pop off if I turn the mower too sharply, and can be hard to find in tall grass. They only cost about a nickel to replace, so I bought a few extra to keep on hand.
