When you first purchase this mop, it is hard as a rock. Once it soaks for a bit, it becomes a firm rubber sponge that dirt and dust will stick to. The squeeze roller on the Mr. Clean version is easy to use and the mop releases the dirt and dust in the cleaning solution. We use vinegar and water only.

The PVA mop is the best mop I have ever owned! They are very hard to find but I will never own another as long as it's available! Leaves very little water on the floor which means floors dry quickly and no streaking. Lasts a very long time!

I bought an equivalent no-brand mop and one replacement head at a home show a couple years back, for [$] US. I just replaced the head last month, after the old one had shrunk in about 3/4-inch on both ends. The mop handle is light weight metal, and twists to extend/lock or retract/lock for easier storage. Once the PVA mop head is soaked and saturated, it squeezes dry easily. Very little moisture is spread on the floor. The ridged surface of the mop head picks up and traps small debris until rinsed clean in a bucket. It doesn't accommodate anything larger than a small pebble, tho, so a good sweeping is needed before mopping. The mop head collects a lot of dust before needing rinsing. I have had very satisfactory results using the mop with Lysol Floor Cleaner and warm water. Since I live in a dusty area of AZ, the floors get mopped often. This is by and large the best mop I ever used. I'm pleased to see Ace Hardware carrying replacement heads.
