Expanding side panels are flimsy and hard to adjust. Like the airflow controls, either fan in either direction.

The fan and controls work fine, but it won't fit in my window because of the distance between the window and screen. It sticks out so far to the outside that I had to take the screen off to fit it in the window track. Measure between window and screen before you buy and measure the fan to fit that distance!!! The fan and thermostat work fine. It's just a fit problem. I would recommend it if it fits your window.

My air conditioner is way dead. I've an upstairs 750 sq. foot condo; hot air DOES rise ,& in hot and humid Houston, it stays there: all day and all night. I bought this mainly for ventilation.I would advise screwing the outer edge of the accordian frame to the sides of you window if you plan to leave in there for any length of time, there are holes placed for that purpose. The instructions say to leave your window screen in place, but if I had screened windows, the fan would not fit.The back of the unit protudes a good 2 inches from the metal track of the window.I think the fan is fairly quiet, the controls are easy to see and work. I have a Lasko 20 inch box fan and same brand oscillating tower fan running at the same time( all in one room).I've run all three on high all day, all evening .. the temperure outside is 71 degrees by 4 AM the next day, inside it is still 83 degrees. It would probably be 103 if I didn't have this fan. I think this is a good product for air exchange. If you are looking to air cooling, not so much.

I bought one of these fans last summer (07).
My neighbor loves it so much she keeps asking
to borrow it. I'm going to buy one for her so
I can have mine on hand when I want to use it.
It looks small but it pulls the air in or pushes
it out with great speed. You can also have one
side pulling the air in and the other side pushing
it out at the same time. Excellent fan, highly
recommend it.
