I live very near a horse farm and I have dogs. The flys were impossible. I was also chasing them inside because every time a door opened one or two would come in. I started using these traps about 3 years ago, and find that if I hang them away from doors and farther out in the property, they not only catch the ones in the yard, it helps keep them away from the house. I have tried the reusable but hate having to clean them out. They do smell pretty bad but that is what attracks the flies. With this I just take a garbage bag out and put it under the bag and cut the string and dispose. I do that on our garbage pick up day so it goes away quickly. Then I just put up a new one.

We use the product to keep flies off of our SIBERIAN HUSKIES ears. The box I purchased from ACEHARDWARE worked so well everyone in the neighborhood went out to a local store and purchased them. When we ran out we did the same and our dogs now have eatten up ears. I don't believe the flies became immune to the scent but the boxes where old and didn't work. What ever the reason my dogs' ears are all bloody and not a very good sales for the product.
