Comments about ACE HARDWARE Ace® Door Bottom:
I like the look of this ACE Brand "brass" plated door bottom and I wish it was made with a bit longer felt sealer. It is not very practical, but might be a nice decorative addition for your door. Over the years I bought many door bottom sealers from Ace Hardware Store, however, each time I buy an "Ace Brand" Door bottom sealer, I am almost sure that 1-3 screws would be probably missing. I do not know if this is a marketing tactic that makes a customer go back and buy the missing screws, and of course meantime buying something else. However, it is certainly pretty annoying! This is it! I am not going buy anymore "Ace Brand" products with screws etc., First I thought it must be just few incidences, but recently a carpenter installed our new Fiberglass door bought some "Ace Brand" door seal, again the 2 nails were missing. He drove "Ace" store that is nearby our home, only to find out that they do not have those nails in stock. Since he lives out of town, he completed the nail work about 2 weeks later. Pretty Annoying! I just opened a bag of this door bottom and the brass plate has 8 beautiful screw holes and a small plastic unopened bag has 7 brass colored screws!
