I'm very disappointed with this alarm. I couldn't get the light on this alarm to activate regardless of how I activated this alarm. I tried putting it into test mode, I tried putting another alarm in the circuit into test mode, I tried setting off the alarms in my house with smoking matches. While each alarm sounded the light in this alarm never came on.

Easy to install, attractive, somewhat futuristic appearance. Mounts to standard electric box, just like the smoke detector that you are replacing. This detector might have a slightly smaller footprint that the old detector, so if you've painted around the old detector, you might want to paint again after removing the old detector and before installing the new detector so that you don't have a ring of mismatched paint showing after you install the new detector.
