Comments about First Alert® CO Detector (CO615):
It was brought up that a fire department responded to a CO alarm recently and discovered that the First Alert CO detector model CO615 can be activated by a TV remote that is pointed at the unit and the channel up/down or volume up/down button held for five seconds. This is apparently a feature to test or silence the unit. This is the first any of us were aware of this, however it is noted in the 615 owners manual.
