I bought this exact item for my son last Christmas. He has had knives in the past but they were too difficult to open & close. Nothing worse for a young person who needs to handle a knife (he's a scout) than one that is difficult to open & close. This one is perfect. Easy to fold out the blades, they stay in place and easy to fold back in without being afraid of cutting yourself. Love that it comes with a carrying case that has a loop for your belt. He takes this on all camping trips (unfortunately we have to buy a new one because we forgot it was in our bag and the TSA took it away at the airport... oops, sorry kiddo... mom's gotta buy you a new one!)
