Prepared for 20% waste and had to throw away so many boards that I had to order 2 more boxes near the end of my project. There were boards way too bowed to make a level wall - you can only compensate so much to try to bend the boards into place because they will break, or the tongue and groves were broken so the seems weren't pretty. Also found boards with too much sap (just cut off those sections to use as short pieces when I could). Also many have knots that have fallen out leaving open holes (hence the wood filler). I made it work, but it was difficult to obtain a pretty wall because of all the inconsistencies. It takes a lot of measuring and fitting and re-fitting with this product (up and down the ladder!!). I feel this company isn't concerned with quality and consistency; so if you use this, plan for at least 40% waste.
