Comments about MAG SECURITY Prime-Line Child Safety Swivel Outlet Cover (S 4461):
We have plugs that fit into most of the unused outlets, but for the ones we do use periodically, a swiveling plate seemed like a good option. The swivel plugs are a great idea for child safety, but essentially it renders the 2nd outlet useless. The little plates with the openings for the prongs turn and are held in place by attached springs. All 4 of the outlet plates we ordered have the swivel plates set in opposite directions (unlike the product photo). As a result of the opposite setting, one outlet can plug in, but the 2nd plate swivels in the wrong direction (the hold for the ground is over the holes of the leads)
This was seriously poor execution of an otherwise excellent idea. Someone in QC did NOT test if the ground holes were both on the same side.
