The hardware is in two pieces -- the catch installs on the door, and the keeper installs on the frame. The problem with this item is that the catch arm is so long that, as the cabinet door is closed, the catch is at a significant angle to the keeper and actually misses it. Then as the door closes, the catch and keeper kind of bang into each other side by side, and you have to carefully bend them around each other so that the engage properly.
And, even if this did work properly, I'm not a fan of the "double catch" feature, where you have to push the catch down to open AND to close the cabinet door.
I should have taken it as an omen when I bought this at my local Ace and first had to wade through several packages which were obviously opened, then taped shut and returned and restocked.
