To counter what Matt said above, this 5L belt is designed for FHP (Fractional Horse Power) applications. The 1.5 hp pump application is way over what this belt is intended for (5L belts are roughly equivalent to B section belts but 5L belts are not as tall as B section belts). Matt was correct about this belt being better for an FHP application, but shouldn't rate it badly because of a poor choice from the operator.

Comments about MBL(r) General Utility V-Belt:
Product seemed good but after a while it began to shread rubber fibers and show seams. Belt stretched as well, did not hold up for application on a 1.5HP water pump. This belt would probably be best for fractional HP applications.
