I just wanted the fan and motor for the 1/2 bath. The old one was noisy and the bearings were shot. I did not want to replace the entire housing and make a big mess with the drywall. I looked at the big box hardware stores and they had nothing and told me I should try looking on-line; so I did and found this through ACE Hardware. It slipped right in the old housing, is quiet and ventilates perfectly. The price was excellent, I had it shipped to the store about 2 miles away from my home so that saved me about $5 on shipping.

My bathroom exhaust fan (Broan 662/668) had stopped working after being in service for over 15 years. Replacing its motor and blower wheel with this replacement kit was a breeze. Not only were the accompanied directions clear but the whole swap took less than 10 minutes. The result was a quieter operation of the fan. I didn't want to wait for the kit to come after 2-3 days so I bought it from my local Ace store, getting it online would have saved me around $4. Am happy with the results and saved at least $60 had I called in an electrician.

Broan/Nutone bought Aubrey fans in the late 80's - if you have an Aubrey, it looks very similar but it's not going to work. Try cleaning out everything with a brush and oiling the bearing surfaces and your motor may work well for years.
