The add that Ace Harware had online is the same as the one above. It shows a brown bucket, a yellow motor with the latch.
I bought it and they sent a cheaper model with the green bucket, green motor and without the latch.
But the one that I've used for years is the same as the online add.

Simple to assemble, and easy to clean as well. Quite simply the best tasting ice cream comes from these machines.

Worked fine for the first couple of batches all chocolate. Then today we made vanilla and when we popped the top there were metal shavings in the ice cream. One fair sized splinter of metal on the paddle and a lot of fine metal dust around the edge of the container. The motor started sounding real, assume it's gone bad wearing out fast. So, back to the store it goes. I though it might be a fluke until I looked it up on other sites and everyone gets metal shavings or a bad set of gears. [...]What used to be a fine American made product is now just another piece of junk.We had one made in America that lasted us over 20 years. This one failed after using it five times. Of course it may have worn out earlier and we didn't see the metal in the chocolate.I hope ACE has the intelligence to review this product.It's not safe to eat the ice cream.
