A cheap, sloppy product. It's very heavy and painted a muddy brown. The paint is thick and sloppy in some places, but thin in others so it rusts when it has water in it. The only way to make this usable would be to completely clean it up, carve or sand off the paint where it's thick and obscures detail, and then repaint it. Get this only if you like the design and have the time and energy to strip and repaint heavy pieces with sharp edges.

Within the first 24 hours, the very little leaf bowl had rust spots all over. I'll have to turn my wast of money bird bath into a bird feeder.

Bowl rusted after a few days. Returned it to Ace and got a replacement. Looked in flyer that came with it to get instructions on how to prevent the bowl from rusting. No instructions for this. I will not put water in it until I can find some way to safely coat the inside so it won't rust. I have given it 3 stars as it is very cute; got if for my mom as a gift. She has it inside right now and it could be used for some sort of inside decor. Maybe fill it with a few birds nests (homemade of course) or some other type of natural things; i.e., pinecones, fall leaves, etc.I put yes I would recommend to a friend, but I would be sure and tell them not to add water.

First when I was putting it together the holes didn't line up, my husband had to drill the hole bigger. I filled it water and in a couple of hours it was full of rusty water.
It's really cute, but not usable!

I was very disappointed when after assembly, I installed in my garden only to come out the next day to find the bird bath full of rusty water. The entire inside rusted. Do not recommend this bird bath.
