I have been in construction for 35 years and thought I would try Gila film since I only had one window to do. The film is quite difficult to handle, expecially larger pieces, despite pre-wetting with the Gila installation solution. The film stretches and mars easily and has occasional manufacturing flaws, some that you don't see until the film is installed. Gila is not as optically clear as 3M Company window film and I will likely remove this film and have the 3M film professionally installed. The break-off knife provided in the installation kit does not have a sharp point and easily tears the film.
