Read the positive reviews, ignore the negative ones! Probably user error, so read the directions before using -- no really. I have owned many coffee pots, both personal and commercial, and Bunn is a highly respected brand. First Bunn I bought for the home and it is excellent. Decanter leaking is not a problem, so must be fixed in new model. They also recommend cleaning decanter by hand, as dishwasher may ruin rubber parts in lid. Brews excellent coffee in 3 minutes using the hot water from the reserve tank. Get it, well worth it!

This BT-10 version has been with us daily since it first came on the market. Before that we had enjoyed the Bunn Home Model without the stainless decanter. Great tasteing coffee, always. VERY fast. Decanter leaks MOST of the time when pouring. I am hoping Bunn has an upgraded decanter for the BT-10, if not, then I may be forced to buy the BTX. I have seen no Bunn literature that says one word about "leakproof" or "spill-resistance" on their new model. That is my single biggest issue. I see I am not alone in that regard. If you want quality coffee -- this is your machine.
NOTE: The current picture here is NOT the BTX, but rather the old style BT-10.

The Bunn brewing method eliminates bitter codffe, and the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot if you drink it within a few hours. A regular warming plate would burn the coffee if you left it on longer! Whoever said that it brewed too slow must have done something wrong. The flow restrictor that Bunn sent me allowed me to use less coffee, and regular filters (The original would cause the grounds to overflow the filter). Overall, you get what you pay for, and if you don't mind bitter coffee or heart burn, then buy a cheaper model from a different manufacturer.

This is the second Bunn I've owned. The first one I had was a regular pot with the warmer. This one is great in that it doesn't keep cooking the coffee, but after a while the carafe doesn't keep the heat and the lid leaks. I'm told they've changed the carafes' lid since my purchase and if they've corrected the leaking problem I'd buy another in a heart beat! Quickest, most durable and long lasting coffee maker I've ever owned! I would not own another brand, ever!
I don't understand some of the reviews that said it was too hard to brew and it took too long. Wow, 3 mins. isn't quick enough?,LOL!

I have been told by a few friends that the coffee doesn't stay hot in the carafe long enough. And this model does not come with a warmer. Also don't buy a bunn without the stainless steel reservoir tank, same heat problem!!! Or should I say heatless LOL
I still have a BXB I bought 10 years ago. I have had to fix a leak because of dry rot about 3 1/2 years ago but it's still brewing great coffee.

Our first Bunn lasted 20 years. It was wedding gift! We replaced it with the this model and WE LOVE IT! All Stainless is THE answer to easy cleaning and consistent, wonderful coffee! We are giving this model as gifts to family! Yes, it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for!!! In this case it is big bang for the buck!!
