This product is so simple and easy to use. You can get a real hot cup of coffee in minutes. Some taller cups don't fit well but most cups do.

I have had one of these for many years - don't even know when I first got it now. Three or more years ago my mother purchased a second one and it too was great. Last year she purchased another to give as a gift but the model had changed, and we decided to test it. Fortunately, we did. We did three test runs and on the third one, the start button broke and that ended that. I've never seen another report of one breaking like that so I'm hoping it was a fluke because if I can obtain another one soon, I am going to because the newer models allow for more water to be heated than our older model and allow a taller, latte size mug to be used. Fingers are crossed. I don't know why they changed the start system and wish they hadn't but I really like the taller model so I want to try again. Even with the issue of one breaking, I would still recommend other people try this.

Our family has used this product for the past 35 years and have only had to replace it once. We use it everyday for a cup of tea, or boiling water for recipies, etc. It is so handy. We give one to all new marrieds.

We have had one of these since they first appeared (25+ yrs.)! We have provided many to family and friends and used them as gifts (some per request). Our children use them in their dorm rooms, and we, family and coworkers use them in our offices. They're perfect for tea drinkers, making instant foods that require hot/boiling water, jell-o, etc. You can measure water before heating. We keep one in our motorhome and we keep two spares on hand just in case so we are never caught without one. One of the most useful and used appliances we've had!

I own two Hot Shots and have given several as gifts - everyone loves them. Water doesn't have the funny taste of microwaved water. If you do one cup it's almost instantly ready, and two cups take just a little longer. I use mine at home several times every day and have one at our weekend ranch as well.

I have owned a Sunbeam Hot Shot since the early 1980's. It is truly the best appliance. In 90 seconds, you get up to 16 oz of near boiling water. Unlike using a microwave, the water is hotter, stays hot longer, and in less time. I use this whenever I need hot water - beverages, cooking, oatmeal. It is a very simple to use, reliable (I am on my second in 25+ years). I am always surprised at how few people are familiar with this product, but once they see it in use, they love it!
