I owned my previous hand mixer for close to 15 years. This one flat out stopped running after only 9 months of light use. I was in the middle of making baked goods for my grandfathers funeral, shut it off to add an ingrediant and it would not turn back on. I would NOT recommend this to a friend.

The lowest speed is so high that more ends up on the cabinets and your clothes than in the bowl.
