I was in a pinch for my Dads birthday and our 35 year old maker just quit. I bought this product on a whim and was very surprised. Made some great ice cream..have used it a dozen times and gets to working better everytime. Odd shape but I think it works fine.

Because the ice bucket is not round, the ice cannot reach to freeze the ice cream. We waited and waited and never did get good frozen ice cream. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

so far I love this maker. It's the first one I've owned, but after two batches I'm very happy with how easy it is, especailly at the cheap price. Very clear recipes and directions, easy to use. The 1 gallon size is big enough (we made ice cream for a party of 30+) but not too much to fit in normal freezer.

Throughoughly enjoy this machine. I get some of the best ice cream I have every had from it. The ice cream is a bit soft when it is first done, but that makes it easy to eat right away. It makes enough to fill up several containers that last for about a month, simply because I eat it. The ice cream itself lasts a long time. Clean up is easy. All you need is a place to dump the salt and ice and then just hot water to wash off the drum, blade and lid.
