Comments about Roach Prufe(r) Boric Acid (RP-1LB) - 12 Pack:

My dad was a builder in Texas and placed Roach Proof inside the walls of buildings he built, so I grew up knowing the lasting blessings of this product in a roach plagued state. However, my best recommendation came from a realtor in Fredricksburg, Texas. Texans are story tellers, so bear with me:

In 1980, I was a college student living in California when I had to settle family business in Fredricksburg. As I was wrapping up a week in court, I elected to find a real estate agent to show me residential properties, so I could get a feel for potential investments in the area.

Every home I was shown had roaches! The nasty, dirty kind that breed and get in food, and everything, and more, . . . etc! YUK!! Small german roaches with the tiny triangular babies, and the moms that drag long eggsacks behind their abdomen when they scurry! The kind that swarm all over everything, (even the ceilings!) until a new light sends them sprinting to disappear!

I was embarassed for the agent.

Politely I obliged to pretend the bugs weren't there, too. But, after we wrapped up our visits to about seven homes, I broke the ice and asked about the evil beings.

He said "Around he-a, we just learn to ignore 'em, . . . 'cuz there's nothin' much we can do about 'em."

I spoke of Roach Proof, told him what it was, how it worked, and promised to mail him a can as I had a couple cans growing old in my garage in California. "If you find it helpful, send me a check for what you think it's worth," I joked.

Returning to California, I did remember to ship him a one pound can. Man, have I made money from that one pound shipment!

      Four months later, I received a $500 check and a letter . . .
"I now have a huge advantage in the rental market, and home sales are up!!!"

"I can only apply Roach Proof in MY owner's properties, so when I show a group of homes, clients pick my listings more often from the group of homes I show."

"You said to send you what it's worth, but 100X the cost of a single can seems fair! I can't send what it's worth, but I'm ever in your debt for the blessing!"

I have since bought two properties from him and he waved his commissions on both! I have twice enjoyed his Texan hospitality staying local both times in one of his free furnished rentals.

No, I don't feel like I've taking advantage, and neither does he. Roach Proof eliminates millions of nasty, nasty, nasty problems - everytime it's used.

I'm online today, as I've just bought the largest privately owned music store in San Jose, CA, and it came complete with the largest uncontrolled collection of wood roaches who own the floors at night! My partner's horrified, his wife will only clean during the day (LOL!) and she quit using ammonia because it causes the roaches to come out of their hiding places! Customers have invisible blinders on . . . being polite, reminding me of my first home visits in Fredricksburg!

      That's no good!!!!

My job is easy! Toughest part is deciding when do I have a couple hours (store is 7600 sq. ft.), and how do I wanna distribute the powder? . . . my thumb might get tired if I use a turkey baster.

I have not been compensated for this review, nor even asked by anyone to write it. This is simply the first time since computers and the internet was invented that I've had a roach problem. . . and I lost the can of neglected Roach Proof I chose to keep for myself in 1980. After 30+ years, I need some more blue-white magic in a can and saw this site as I looked for it. So, that's my favorite Roach Proof story on a Sunday morning. Hope you enjoyed it.

I plan to use about three pounds in my 7600 sq. ft. music store (pure guess based on aged experience only), but will buy four pounds, just to have some extra handy. Sheesh. . . it's now over $5 a can . . . still cheap, but you can't beat inflation!

Comments about Roach Prufe(r) Boric Acid (RP-1LB) - 12 Pack:

I relocated to Jacksonville FL due to my job. The day that I was moving into the apartment I realized that there might be a pest problem. I saw a few dead roaches in the bathroom. I figured the landlord had the place fumigated prior to me moving in. Within days after I moved in these things were seen everywhere. Each time I notified the landlord they would only come out and place the gel type roach bait in various places which was useless. I took matters into my own hands. I bought a can of foam Gap filler from [@] and from a local hardware store I purchased Decon foggers, and a can of Roach Prufe. I used the gap filler to fill in all the gaps around the pipes in the bathroom, under sinks, and AC unit. I taped over 2 missing outlet covers ( 1 was behind the fridge). I cleaned under the fridge, stove, wash & dryer. I used a turkey baster to apply Roach Purfe to those areas that I cleaned. I also applied Roach Purfe around the dishwasher, behind furniture that sits next to walls (china cabinet, sofa, dresser, etc.). I had planned to fog the place but the next day but after putting this stuff down I was sweeping dead roaches up that next day. Within a week I didn't see anymore pest in my apartment. I never had to use the foggers. Its been 4 months and no signs of their return. You will only need one can for a house or apartment. My apartment is 1200 sqft and I have over half a can left.

This stuff works great! Eliminated a earwig infestation in our home within in 2 weeks last year. Waiting to see if the treatment is still effective a year later. So far no sign of them.
      Works for other insects too.

Comments about Roach Prufe(r) Boric Acid (RP-1LB) - 12 Pack:

Twenty plus years go I purchsed a Bowling center in Sw Florida. It was infested with roaches and I had a pest control company renting space in my establishment and he couldn't control them either. In a Doctors office I read an advertiment about Roach Pruff. I ordered it and it would guarantee roachwes would be gone in 10 days. Bingo in 10 days
roaches were gone and never seen an other one from that day on. I don't know if the product now is from the same
distributor but I believe it was from the north suburb of Chicago

Comments about Roach Prufe(r) Boric Acid (RP-1LB) - 12 Pack:

I used a turkey baster for this product as well. It allows for even coverage and enables you to get to those hard to reach spaces.
Be careful not to squeeze the bulb too vigorously or you will push the powder away from the intended location, or get a cloud of blue dust close to your face.
I used it along the baseboards, behind the refridgerator, under the kitchen sink and back door entryway.
It will take a few days, but it is a great product without the toxicity of most bug killers.

Comments about Roach Prufe(r) Boric Acid (RP-1LB) - 12 Pack:

Roach Prufe is better than any expensive exterminator. It takes about two weeks before seeing results, but once you apply Roach Prufe to your home and garage, you will not see creepy, crawly bugs for 8 months or longer. I found that using a little powder in a baster (yes, a baster, meaning to baste, used to distribute meat juice during baking)is an excellent applicator. Just funnel the powder and fill about a quarter of the way and squeeze the rubber base along creases and crevices. This is a phenomenal product that yields awesome results. You won't be disappointed.
