In use for more than 30 years. No problems as long as it's kept properly cleaned out and stored in a dry place, as some sprays are corrosive and/or will solidify and block passageways. But then, anything else I've had that works well requires maintenance. This is the best of these inexpensive hose-end sprayers that I've seen: unchanged over several decades.

I want to know where they have been hiding this sprayer. It is the best hose end sprayer I have used. I now spray my trees in minutes instead of the hours used to take. I was so impressed that I went out and bought a second one just in case.
This is a very good sprayer, if you need something to shorten your spraying time this is it.

The product works exactly as described, including being able to spray up to 30 feet so you can reach the tops of your favorite trees. If the product remains as realiable as it is now for at least 5 years I will give it an A. So far that is my only reservation about recommending the product, I just bought it so I dont know how long it will last, but otherwise it gets an A.

Similar to the sprayers that are integrated into the caps on bottles of Weed & Feed except this is adjustable. Even works with the 75 PSI water pressure I have although the settings have to be adjusted to get the proper mix ratios.

I have to comment on the guy who says his Gilmour 'stopped working after a year'. I would be willing to bet this guy did not read the maintenance instructions on this product. This is a wonderful sprayer but, like any equipment, it is not meant to be abused and it requires a little bit of level headed maintenance. It can and will clog if not used, cleaned and stored properly. His 'stopped working' could probably be fixed by checking the line and removing whatever is clogging it up. We have developed such a 'disposable' attitude about everything. We have stopped thinking that we can think a problem through and fix it. Geeeze. There are 'cheap' products out there that break easily. The Gilmour metal hose end sprayer is not one of those. Take care of yours and it will take care of your needs for years.

My name is nate. I detail cars in West Covina. I bought this sprayer instead of a $50 foam gun. I dilute car soap 1 to 4 with water and set the dial to 10 Tbsp. per gallon. The gun shoots out tons of soap all over the vehicle and i can get the job done faster. I also put carpet shampoo in it to clean the mats and All Purpose cleaner to clean the wheels. Definitely worth the[$] (after tax). Also i don't need to unscrew the gun when i need to rinse. I purchased a set of quick connect couplars so i can switch from the gun to a rinsing nozzle fast.

I have had these (2) for over 20 years probem free till now I lost the check valve and the washer in the head wore out so I called Gilmour and they are sending me replacement parts
