My open attic in my garage heats up in summer. I installed this fan in the gable where there is an existing vent. Because it is made in America I purchased it. I own another fan which was made in Mexico. I replaced it with the same one after 4 years of operation. I believe and hope that this one will last longer. I am glad to have this Ace Hardware near my home to compete with the Big Boxes. Will gladly pay more for American made.

Don't buy this fan it won't pull air out of your attic. I felt around expecting air to be sucked in the plastic mount because why else would they make something that blows air out? Air does indeed blow out the sides. I felt my nearest open vent and air was not coming in because the fan did not push air out, it goes out the plastic mount.
I talked to their CS who insists I did not have enough open intake vents but that is just their excuse. They should have a fix of a free roll of duct tape to wrap the sides closed so this fan pulls air. Don't waste your electric or the manpower to install this fan. You will find other manufacturer's do not have open sided fans but enclose theirs in a shroud.

I shopped arround and ended up saving $30.00 on the fan with my purchase from ACE. The fan was identical to the fan that was in my attic so installation was a snap. It would have been nice if my local store would have had the fan in stock, but the wait was worth the money I saved.

Works great on a 6x8 greenhouse. Without it, the plants would burn up. I put a louver arm in the far bottom corner which creates a nice cross draft with the fan. I set the fan thermostat at 89, which is just right for the root cuttings and seeds I'm starting.

Made so much noise I removed it and installed another brand. Blade was poorly balanced and plastic mount allows too much flex.
