I bought one of these and in less than a month the line broke. I returned it for an exchange and in less than a month the line is broke again. Neither one of them has never had more than half of it in use at any one time and nothing heavy was ever hung on them. I will toss this one and will not return it for another one. I am through with it.

I had mine for 2 years and it functions well. One drawback is the fixed line tension. The cord is long enough to mount it at my deck handrails, just below where others can see it and it will stretch to 12 feet and then some. It will take up to 1.5 loads of laundry.

I gave a poor rating because we found that some of the ropes were tight & some dangle loosely. There is no way to fix the product so that all ropes are tight (tension control knob controls all the ropes, so once some are tight, then that is it). We do use it to hang the baby clothes but we never retract it as it is too much of a hassle. The concept of having multiple ropes is great; but it needs a much better design.
