We bought one, worked great so we bought two more. One of these never caught a single mouse. The other two stopped working after they'd caught maybe a half-dozen mice or so. Yes, I have replaced the batteries, refreshed the bait, and cleaned the bottom of the chamber. The mouse apparently goes in, eats the bait, and walks out, because the light is flashing in the morning and bait is gone but no dead mouse. Very frustrating.

This thing saved my life! It was my first time ever dealing with a rodent issue. Maintenance put down sticky traps...1 night passed, the bait was gone and no mouse!

I did some research, purchased this and the mouse was gone the 1st night!

I heard it zap the critter, but I think it just stunned it, because a half an hour later the thing was moving around. (I was still to whimpy to dump it...enclosed and all!)It was stuck in the box, but wriggling about.

I will say, I used store brand batteries, so maybe the strenghth of the zap wasn't strong enough. I didn't want it to suffer, but I also didn't want it roaming around my apartment!

Wow amazing machine owned for 3 years and caught a few hundred mice and just today got a double header,,,this is the only mouse trap you'll ever need just loaded with peanut butter one the inside and turn on,,,wait for the blinking light,,dump your catch and reset.

Caught a mouse the 1st night. Easy to empty, wipe off, and reset. Must kill pretty quickly because it was set near my bed and I didn't hear any death throes or even a squeak.

If you plan to reuse this trap, put bait on side walls but not on the back wall. Only CON was trying to clean the peanut butter out of the ventilation holes on the back wall.

We have some of those Sonic Pest chasers and those haven't worked (although NOT by Victor) - However, I've had 2 of these units for like 5-8 years and have killed numerous ones over time. After like 8 years, one finally went on me (the top broke), but it still works if I put something heavy on it. But these have definately been worth the $$. I'm buying a couple more - to replace and add a 2nd to my shed.HD and[...]stopped selling them. Didn't know ACE sold 'em. Off to find my Local ACE !!

Have a mouse problem? We do, perhaps one a week on average. When this was a new occurrence, we tried the inexpensive "snap" trap with mortifying results. I know I cannot co-habitat with mice, but I'm not a brutal monger either so I needed a better alternative. This trap works as advertised and saved my conscience. It's easy to use and reusable and humane when trapping live is not an option. I could not be happier with a product that solves two issues at once, one with mice and the other with my aversion to mangling them with snap traps. Well worth every penny and I believe you'll agree.

We noticed uninvited guests when we replaced our range. We thought we had one, maybe two mice. I put out poison, and found it laying around the next morning. Since I have dogs & cats I had to give up the poison. I found this trap and decided to give it a try.
The first attempt did not work. I had spread the peanut butter across the holes in the rear, and they were able to lick it off from outside. I decided to put a small clump in the bottom, rear corner, and that did the trick. In 36 hours it has caught 12 mice!!!
The one bit of advise is to check the trap even if it's not flashing. This morning there were 2 dead in the trap and I think they shorted out the flashing light. Otherwise it's all good! We'll be purchasing another for our chicken coop.

I live in the country and the mice just love my truck and car. I put one under each seat and had one in each the next morning. Very easy to clean and reset, safety switch in the cover so you cannot get shocked. Only thing I had a little problem with was getting the AA batt's in. Watch how you orient them and a little more difficult if you have larger fingers. Will be buying more!!

We bought one of these after dealing with bait and glue traps. Bait was messy and the glue trap I would have to take outside, day or night, and shoot them. No mess with this. The first night with this and we caught 5. The third day we finally put it away and over a year no problems. Looking to get one now with winter setting in and want to be prepared...just in case.

We put out two of the Victor Electronic Mousetraps at night and when we looked in the morning we had one laying on his side inside the trap as if he was praying. It looks like he never even made it to the peanut butter. It was easy to bring the little guy to the woods for a proper burial. We have not caught anymore yet and we are hoping that this furry friend showed a lesson to any other poor mouse that they should be very frightened of being put to rest as the first brave soul who wandered in the middle of the darkness toward his demise. It is a shame that he never even tasted the peanut butter.

Neither my cats nor terriers would give the mice a second look. Traps didn't work, glue traps were inhumane, and the "live" trap, apart from being ineffectual, would have left me with the dilemma of what to do with the live mice and where to dispose of them...

This was so easy and effective! Less than 12 hours after setting it out I've caught 2 already! This is great!

We've noticed mice getting up on our counters between the stove and dishwasher. We have two dogs and a cat, so poison and standard traps were out the window. My cat and dogs are useless against the mice. They think the mouse is a toy, and just bat it around the floor until it finally escapes, if they happen to catch one. This seemed like a perfect idea. Tonight I slapped some peanut butter on the inner wall, just like it said, and laid it against the counter-backsplash. Not even an hour later, I walked out to refill my drink, and the light was flashing! Success in under 60 minutes. Quick, safe, and easy to dispose of the mouse. I rebaited, and I'm patiently awaiting another.

This trap took care of an entire nest of mice within a week!

Best of all, it kills them clean & quick, so all you have to do is open the lid and dump it in the trash.

It took about 2 days before we caught the first one, but it has worked out great since then! And we're still using the same batteries!

We found a dead mouse in our dog's food bag!! So I went straight out to find a mouse trap. I cannot lie, I got home after work at 5, baited the trap and watched the telly for an hour. I went back and found two, not one, but two mice stacked on top of eachother in this thing!! I checked periodically through the night and finished the tally off with 6 the first night. I would HIGHLY recommend this trap, 3 months without any mice, and I found one tonight in the trap with the original peanut butter bait!! Go buy one now, you won't regret it.

I recently purchased this product to use in my townhome but wasn't sure if I had a mouse. A co-worker mentioned that he had mice in his garage so I asked him to give the trap a try. WOW! He killed 5 mice in one weekend. I will definitely buy another to keep in my basement just in case.
