I wanted an inexpensive stick-vac to clean up dead flies, pet hair, etc. inbetween regular vacuuming jobs. This Bissell does the trick and is more efficient than a DustBuster (which I still use) because it doesn't run out of power...corded to an outlet!! You can vacuum the floor, inside of closets, in drawers, etc. for hours (now I am exaggerating!), plugging into outlets in each room. You can take the stick handle off if you want to use it like a DustBuster; I have used it on top of my kitchen cabinets to capture the dust-bunnies. This stick-vac will work on low-pile carpets if you carefully scrape it across the nap, but it's not really made for carpet use. It is a bit of a pain to empty the dirt cup and clean the filter (cloth-like), but is not a deal-breaker (it is possible to buy extra filters when you buy this stick-vac; wash one and put a clean one in). I would be handier if the housing where the dirt collects were clear so you could see how much is in the dust-cup. The plus is that this vac is handy, it was inexpensive--Ace had the best price (I checked many places)--and I got it delivered free to my neighborhood Ace Hardware store. Win-win-win!

I have lot of tile in my house, and with pets it always looks dirty. This feather weight bissell makes cleaning so much easier. It's powerful so it picks up everything. It's easy to clean after I'm done.

This appears to be just what I needed. A small vac tha that I can pull out for quick pick ups & it does pick up rather than push stuff around without having to wrestle stufff into the suction head. The best feature was picking it up at my local ACE hardware store.

This vacuum is great for cleaning in between regular vacuuming. I have cats and it is powerful enough to suck up the pet hair & cat litter that seems to stray from the cat litter pan. Great for hardwood floors and vacuuming the kitchen and bathroom floors, too. The power cord is a little to short to clean my entire apartment but not a big deal to have to unplug into a different room.
