Excellent service from Ace Hardware, as expected. The lock gives me a greater feeling of security since someone had kicked in my door a couple of weeks previously. I was amazed at how easily they did it. Now the door is reinforced with this new lock propped against the doorknob.

I use mine to keep my roommate from bursting in when I have a "guest" over. Works great, easy to install, rubber bottom doesn't move, but don't buy if you have a gap under your door, all someone has to do is push the bottom grip out with a ruler and it would pop right off. (not a criticism, just something to be aware of)

This item does exactly what it is supposed to do. I had to buy this new one after I saw an apartment, female neighbor who is afraid of everything in life and I had to give her my old one. The thing about this item is that when it is up against the door you can sleep at night knowing that no one is coming in without a battering ram which of course isn't going to happen.
