I hang my feeders from a wire streched between my house and a tree. I have tried feeders in the 5-15 dollar range, and this particular feeder has proven to be the absolute best. It atracts sparrows, cardinals, and finches, occasional pigeons. The spacing of the bird supports seems to be a perfect distance for the birds to pearch, and the seed is easy to load by simply twisting the top hook. I've tried at least 6 varieties of light weight plastic feeders and came back to order two more of these.
