I opened the packaging, installed the glass panes and these lanterns were ready to use. I cannot believe the value I got for the price. I have shopped for lanterns the size of the largest one in this set. At Ace, I got three lanterns for the price of one lantern at other stores. These lanterns have a beautiful design, they are sturdy and the price point makes them the best value (for similar items) that I have found.

I really like these lantersn and I got them on sale so the price was great. However, the tops do not fit well and it is difficult to remove and replace them when turning on my battery candles in them. You would have the same problem trying to light the candles. The small one is sturdy and does work a littloe better, but the 2 larger ones you would have to pick up by the bottom since the tops do not fit well. Overall, I wish I had gotten a differnt type of lanter with a "door" that opens, making lighting candles cimpler.
