These tiki stakes releive the "pain" of trying to get the torches into the ground. It's simple to set up, all you need to to is decide where you would like the torches and use a rubber mallet to pound them into the ground. The stakes insert into the middle. Then, all you do, is tighten the screw to hold the torch upright and in place. They are very secure, even the 2 year old neighbor kid can't tip them over. I think these are even safer than putting the torches directly into the ground because it ensures that they are sturdy. They would be very dangerous around small children without these stakes. No worries of tipping over at our house. We have also gotten lots of compliments from friends and family on them. This is one of those things that you don't think about and see somewhere else and decide that you have to have them!! Searched online and found them here. Great product and would recommend to anyone. Oh yea, and removal is simple. There is a lip on the top that lets you grab ahold and pull them out!

Stake helps keep pop-up camper awnings in-place too. Insert awning support leg into the stake and tighten the bolt. No more family pets wrapping themselves around the awning support leg and potentially tearing the awning.
